Terms and conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the GlowGenic mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by GlowGenic ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

GlowGenic is intended for users aged 13 and older. By creating an account or using the GlowGenic app, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Description of service

GlowGenic is an AI-powered skincare application that provides:

• Skin analysis using third-party computer vision technology
• Personalised skincare routines generated by artificial intelligence
• Progress tracking including Glow Score, routine completion, and before/after photography
• Account, subscription, and optional in-app purchase features where available

The Service is intended for general wellness and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical or dermatological advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

3. Subscriptions and billing

GlowGenic operates on a subscription model at $9.99 per month or $99.00 per year. A 7-day free trial is available for new subscribers, subject to the following conditions:

• A valid payment method must be provided to begin the free trial
• You will be charged at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it expires
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period, and no partial refunds are issued unless required by law or platform policy
• Promotional or founding member pricing, if offered, is non-transferable and subject to the conditions stated at the time of purchase

All billing is processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not directly handle payment information. Refund requests are governed by the respective platform's refund policy.

4. In-app purchases

Consumable in-app purchases, if offered, are processed through the App Store or Google Play and are non-refundable once the purchased service has been delivered, except where required by law or platform policy.

5. User content and skin data

By using the Service, you grant GlowGenic a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your skin images and questionnaire responses solely for the purpose of delivering the analysis and routine services. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must consent to this processing. We do not sell, trade, or share your skin images or personal health data with third parties for marketing purposes.

You retain full ownership of your data. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@glowgenic.net.

6. Medical disclaimer

GlowGenic is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnoses. The skin analysis, Glow Score, and routine recommendations are informational tools and should not be relied upon as medical advice. Always consult a qualified dermatologist or healthcare professional for skin conditions requiring medical attention.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Upload images of any person other than yourself without their explicit consent
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service
• Share, sell, or transfer your account credentials to another person
• Use the gifting feature to circumvent subscription requirements in bad faith

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time from within the app settings. Upon termination, your subscription will not be refunded for the unused portion of the current billing period.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GlowGenic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms in the app and updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
